this is sort of a first impressions. i finished story mode. but to perfect it, i have atleast 3 more playthroughs ahead. the game is fun. while games like ryse or killzone shadowfall spent the system power on nice graphics, dead rising spent it on creating an awesome game. the first time when i'm outdoors, the game has zombies as far as the eye can see. in corners, in loops, on roads, some on buildings, its awesome. granted the game does not look as good as ryse, but it delivers in the gameplay department. i'm glad they made this choice. another added bonus for returning players is, no more maintenance room required. the crafting is made fun and fluid. there are more vehicles now. so more time spent mowing zombies than jumping over them.. the quests are interesting.. the story, though adequate for this game, is not very compelling. however, it has its own b-movie charm like dead rising 2. overall, i would highly recommend it.

xbox one or ps4
i wont waste time. i have both in my home and right now, my recommendation is to hold off. wait for atleast next summer. the most fun i had on these consoles was when playing nba 2k14. its not exclusive to either. i finished killzone shadowfall and its closer to killzone 1 on ps2 than 2 and 3. its decent but not enough to warrant a system. i almost finished knack. but the game is sadly not that interesting. the mechanics are pretty numbing. on the xbox side, ryse is pretty boring as well. starts off intresting but gets old too fast. the best xbox has is dead rising 3. its pretty fun. the game plays good. but there isnt much humour as dead rising 2. all the psychopaths and survivors are kind of boring. also, for trophy and achievement hunters, try fifa on ps4. its pretty easy plat. the xbox is the same achievement list but ps4 has better user base. easy online trophys.. resogun is another surprise. its good. but still not a system seller. strangely, its the most fun exclusive available now. as for the price point, i live in the uk. here, the ps4 bundle with camera, extra controller and killzone sf was the same price as xbox one.
i still stand by my first comment. wait for next year. you'll see better deals, better games and better bundles.

HOW TO CONNECT EXTERNAL HARD DISK TO PS3
i found a lot of incomplete information. thats why i am creating this. feel free to copy these steps into any forums or guides you want to. i just wanted to help.
steps are below..
1. connect external hard disk to computer
2. install software called EaseUS Partition Master. download free version. no need of any paid version.
3. open software and open partition manager
4. your external hard disk should be here. if you have not previously formatted it, do it now. this will erase all data in the hard disk (duh..)
5. in the external drive, it should say unallocated space (or something like that). right click and choose create partition
6. it will ask for settings. CHOOSE THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS AS I TELL YOU. DONT ALTER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
SIZE OF PARTITION SHOULD BE LESS THAN 192 GB.
FORMAT SHOULD BE FAT32
and finally, AND MOST IMPORTANT, CHOOSE PARTITION TO BE LOGICAL. NOT PRIMARY. MANY GUIDES FORGET THIS STEP. ONLY LOGICAL PARTITIONS ARE DETECTED BY PS3s.
7. select apply changes and after about a minute, it says done.
8. connect to ps3 and enjoy.. :)
if any one has any doubt, put as a comment. i'll try to answer when i'm free..
some faqs for this..
Q: why this software. what about partition magic or norton's shitty partition manager?
A: it has option to create logical partition easily. technically, you can create a logical partition using windows disk management. but its easier this way
Q: why less than 192gb?
A: its complicated. but its most liable to work in these settings. i just wanted to give a brief setup. u can experiment with more settings. gud luck.. but a 192gb setup is most preferred by the ps3's hardware programming.
Q: i cant see anything in my hard disk?
A: u have to create folders inside for the system to recognise. first create a folder called PS3. inside, for videos, create folder called VIDEO. i guess u get the idea. another easy way is to press triangle on hard disk and select "display all" in the ps3. its actually easier
Q:can i have more partitions?
A: sadly no, the ps3 recognises only one drive. so cram everything into the one partition only
Q: how safe is data in the drive?
A: unless power failure occurs during data transfer, its pretty safe.

dead space 3 review
Hey all. I got an advance copy for Dead space 3 and thought I would give my impressions. The game is good. Its good for an action game and its passable for a horror game. I played the campaign solo (no friends means no co-op :( ). And it was fun. The overall feel is somewhat different from previous dead space games though. not many tight corridors. thank fully, not much fiddling either. I actually thought the weapon slots were perfect for dead space. if i could carry four like the previous ones, the game would go into full on action territory. so weapon management gives somewhat tension. the story is meh. typical dead space. going there, opening doors, pressing buttons and sort. even the farthest planets in space are not immune to buttons i guess. the environments have good variety though. if u thought the demo looked like lost planet, dont worry, the entire game is not located there. there is actually a cool mechanic when u move from indoors to outdoors that is clever. i wont spoil it coz its very fun when it happens first time (also, every reviewer will spoil it anyway.. atleast let the people who pre-ordered be happy). u have a new enemy group with their own enemy types. some good set peices here and there.. but the follow up to these set peices is very weird in some places. u feel like u suddenly hop into an action sequence mid fight sometimes.. and sometimes, u just sort of walk about. thats really weird. but i dunno.. its for juxtaposition i guess. i played the ps3 version.. no glitches or anything.. smooth gameplay. visuals have a 'seen that' feel though.. weapon crafting also deserves a mention. its fun for the first few times. but i later understood what it meant. on one hand, it removes a lot of grinding. on the other hand, its sort of complex but really simple in theory. i dont think i can explain it properly. but all weapons can be built from scratch. and the combinations should make it very intresting. however, all weapons are built from scratch. so the combinations are pointless. i hope that makes sense. maybe someone else will explain it better. the weapons are good. the system is convoluted and in-the-long-run unnecessary. some sections of the game requires co op partners though. i'm guessing mostly for collectibles.
In the end, i had fun. hope u too. well worth the full price. game clocked in about 15 hours for me (the again, i suck at dead space. most of my play is trail and error).
P.S. not a very easy plat. not by a long shot.
